Everyone knows Sean Paul as a Reggae superstar, multi-platinum winner who has sold millions worldwide and is currently on the Billboard Hot top 100 for his single Cheap Thrills. 

A quick read on Wikipedia provides a good summary of his background and music career. Josef Hernandez, an AXS contributor, said “Sean Paul may be known by some for the duets that he has done with other singers, such as the song “Baby Boy” with Beyonce, but there is much more to his music than just pairing with other popular singers.

In fact, Sean Paul is the top selling Jamaican artist of all time in the United States due to his unique brand of dancehall reggae, rap, and hip hop music.

He was a late bloomer in the music world as he did not get serious about being a musician until he was in his 20’s and it was not until 2002 when he gained international fame with his album “Dutty Rock” which went on to win the Best Reggae Album award at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004.

Sean Paul performed at the Montreux Jazz festival in 2004 and is a fixture at Reggae music festivals in Europe. Does anyone know when he will be back in Switzerland?
